Mr. Godek is one of the few economists to have served at both of the federal antitrust agencies.
He was the Economic Advisor to the Director of the Bureau of Competition at the Federal Trade Commission. Prior to that, he
was a staff economist with the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice. At both agencies he participated in all aspects of
antitrust enforcement. Since joining Economists Incorporated, Mr. Godek has presented numerous written and oral arguments to
the antitrust authorities and to various other federal agencies, including the Department of Commerce, the Federal Communications
Commission, the Internal Revenue Service, the International Trade Commission, and the Securities and Exchange Commission. In addition
to his antitrust and regulation background, Mr. Godek has extensive experience in estimating economic damages. He has testified as an
expert witness on behalf of the Department of Justice and in private litigation. Mr. Godek has published papers in such journals
as The Antitrust Bulletin, Economic Inquiry, The Journal of Financial Economics, and The Journal of Law and Economics.
