Thomas Hubbard is Associate Professor of Management and Strategy at the Kellogg School of
Management at Northwestern University. Prior to his appointment at Northwestern, Dr. Hubbard taught at Columbia University, the
University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, and at UCLA. Dr. Hubbard is Co-Editor of the Journal of
Industrial Economics and is Associate Editor at several academic journals, including the American Economic Review. He is also a Faculty Research Fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research.
Dr. Hubbard has authored or co-authored published articles in the fields of industrial organization,
organizational economics, and the economics of technology that have appeared in major journals including the
American Economic Review, the Quarterly Journal of Economics, and the Rand Journal of Economics. His research
has investigated many aspects of the organization of service industries, especially issues related to industry
structure and vertical integration.
Dr. Hubbard has been retained by several firms as consultant or expert, particularly in the transportation
industry, and has provided expert testimony in regulatory matters in the casino gaming industry.
