Principal John Morris speaks at EUCI conference on energy mergers.

Principal John Morris presented "U.S. Department of Justice Methodology" at the Electric Utility Consultants, Inc. (EUCI) conference on energy mergers, December 12-13, 2006 in Phoenix, Arizona. His presentation described the economic analyses performed at the Department of Justice (DOJ) for electric utility mergers, including descriptions of the data that DOJ uses in its analyses and the methodologies used to analyze the data. He also explained that DOJ selects specific generation assets to eliminate the perceived competitive problem rather than requiring remedial divestitures based upon the Herfindahl-Hirschman Index.
