William Hall provided economic analysis to Harrah's Entertainment, Inc. for its $9.4 billion acquisition of Caesars
Entertainment, Inc. Assisted by Paul Godek and Laura Malowane, Dr. Hall was retained by both parties through counsel
at Latham & Watkins and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom. The 11-month investigation into several geographic markets
by the FTC concluded with a 5-0 Commission vote to close the investigation with no enforcement action. Dr. Hall testified
on behalf of Harrah's in May before the New Jersey Casino Control Commission with respect to the competitive effects of the
merger among Atlantic City casinos.
